"The Beginning of Your Consciousness"

We all have questions. Questions that we can't always answer, straight away. When I was younger I'd spend time looking in the mirror, thinking my way through my mind trying to find my core-self, and just like everybody who learn who they are from other people I'd get to a point where I wouldn't recognise myself and I'd turn away from the mirror and fade back into the confusion that was my life.

As of late a lot of my role models have come through and have shared their hearts on this issue of people finding themselves and being themselves. The Flatbush Zombies spoke on the youth being themselves and not thinking about what other people have to say. The UnderAchievers spoke about how they found themselves through consciousness and thinking for themselves and I was inspired to really get on this journey called "Enlightenment".

So many new things came to me now that I had opened my mind, I became happier and I started to live nature more, before I wasn't into nature at all, I wanted to be in the inner-city and do inner-city stuff with inner-city people. I hated living in a farm area which I have been living in for 9 years now. My appreciation for life and natural beauty grew immensely. 

I then, did more research on the history of mankind and enlightenment principles and teachings. A hatred began to consume me because of all the bull***t I was taught  as a child from a Christian home. The whole process of me moving from a full on, Christianity fanatic to a free thinking soul on the path to enlightenment took about 2 years. 

Through all of this, I made some songs speaking about the different points of my life I went through while on this search for truth and peace. I chose to combine all these songs and compile a project with these songs. 

The project is called "Welcome To The Beginning Of Your Consciousness" this is a story basically of different points in my life, over the past year, where I felt extreme thoughts, situations and realisations pushed me to vent through music. I figured that some people would relate to my story and how I feel about certain things. 

The Projext starts off with a Prelude to the my journey, "Dungeon Thoughts" which I wrote because I felt I needed to break free from some strongholds, this was the beginning of my rebellion and also the light that sparked a lot of ideas and taking my music in a new direction. You can hear the growth in my state of mind and artistically throughout the project. 

All in all I've been on this journey for some time and I decided it's time I released the art I have created reflecting on my feelings at different points. I am still growing learning and I aim to inspire a lot of people who haven't tried to live life free from the system and independently think and search for themselves.
